Segment 1א׳

(שמות כ׳:ח׳) זָכוֹר אֶת יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת לְקַדְּשׁוֹ דָּא אִיהוּ רָזָא דִּבְרִית קַדִּישָׁא. וּבְגִין דִּבְּהַאי בְּרִית קַיְימִין כָּל מְקוֹרִין דְּשַׁיְיפֵי גּוּפָא, וְאִיהוּ כָּלַל כֹּלָּא. כְּגַוְונָא, דָּא שַׁבָּת אִיהוּ כְּלָלָא דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא, וְכָל רָזִין דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא בֵּיהּ תַּלְיָין, וְקִיּוּמָא דְּשַׁבָּת, כְּקִיּוּמָא דְּכָל אוֹרַיְיתָא, מַאן דְּנָטִיר שַׁבָּת, כְּאִילּוּ נָטִיר אוֹרַיְיתָא כֻּלָּא.

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY. This is the mystery of the holy covenant. And because in this covenant stand all the sources of the members of the body, and it comprises all — in like manner the Sabbath is the sum of the Torah, and all the mysteries of the Torah depend upon it; and the observance of the Sabbath is as the observance of the whole Torah. Whoever keeps the Sabbath, it is as though he kept the whole Torah.

Segment 2ב׳

רעיא מהימנא פִּקּוּדָא כ"ד, לְמֶהֱוִי דָּכִיר יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת, כְּמָה דְאַתְּ אָמֵר זָכוֹר אֶת יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת לְקַדְּשׁוֹ. רָזָא דְּשַׁבָּת, הָא אוֹקִימְנָא בְּכָל אִינּוּן דּוּכְתֵּי, יוֹמָא דּוּכְרָנָא דְּנַיְיחָא דְּעָלְמָא וְאִיהוּ כְּלָלָא דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא. וּמַאן דְּנָטִיר שַׁבָּת, כְּאִילּוּ נָטִיר אוֹרַיְיתָא כֹּלָּא. וְהָא אִתְּמַר, דּוּכְרָנָא דְּשַׁבָּת, לְקַדְּשָׁא לֵיהּ בְּכָל זִינֵי קִדוּשִׁין. מַאן דְּאִדְכַּר לְמַלְכָּא, אִצְּטְרִיךְ לְבָרְכָא לֵיהּ, מַאן דְּאִדְכַּר שַׁבָּת, צָּרִיךְ לְקַדְּשָׁא לֵיהּ וְהָא אִתְּמַר.

Ra'aya Meheimna. The twenty-fourth commandment: to be mindful of the Sabbath day, as it says, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy”. The mystery of the Sabbath we have already explained in all those places: it is the day that is the memorial of the world’s rest, and it is the sum of the Torah; and whoever keeps the Sabbath, it is as though he kept the whole Torah. And this has been stated: the remembrance of the Sabbath is to sanctify it with every kind of sanctification. Whoever makes mention of a king must bless him; whoever makes mention of the Sabbath must sanctify it. And this has been stated.

Segment 3ג׳

זָכוֹר לִדְכוּרָא אִיהוּ. שָׁמוֹר אִיהוּ לְנוּקְבָּא. (ודא בלא פרודא) יוֹם שַׁבָּת, רָזָא דְּכָל מְהֵימָנוּתָא, דְּתַלְיָא מֵרֵישָׁא עִלָּאָה, עַד סוֹפָא דְּכָל דַּרְגִּין, שַׁבָּת אִיהוּ כֹּלָּא.

“Remember” is for the male; “Observe” is for the female. The Sabbath day is the mystery of the whole faith, which depends from the supernal Head down to the end of all the grades. The Sabbath is all.
