The seven gematria methods
A gematria value means nothing until you say which reckoning produced it. These are the seven this site computes, over the consonantal written text of the Tanakh — each with its rule, its full letter table and worked examples.
Alef 1 through yod 10, then by tens to kuf 100, then by hundreds to tav 400.
As Standard, except the five final forms run on from tav: 500, 600, 700, 800, 900.
Standard values reduced to a single digit by dropping their zeros.
Each letter's place in the alphabet: alef 1 through tav 22.
Each letter exchanged for its mirror from the other end of the alphabet, then the Standard value taken.
Each letter's Standard value squared, and the squares summed.
Each letter is worth the Standard value of its own name spelled out in full.
Every value is computed by the same engine that indexes every word, phrase and verse of the Tanakh. To compute a word of your own under any of them, use the gematria calculator.
