Segment 1א׳
תָּא חֲזֵי, (ישעיהו מ״ג:ז׳) כָּל הַנִּקְרָא בִּשְׁמִי, כַּמָּה עִלָּאִין עוֹבָדֵי מַלְכָּא קַדִּישָׁא, דְּהָא בְּאִינוּן עוֹבָדֵי (נ"א בריין) דְאִיהוּ עָבִיד לְתַתָּא קָטִיר לוֹן בְּמִלִּין עִלָּאִין דִּלְעֵילָא, וְכַד נָטְלִין לוֹן לְתַתָּא וְעָבְדֵי בְּהוּ עוֹבָדָא, אִתְעַר הַהוּא עוֹבָדָא דִלְעֵילָא דְּקָטִיר בָּהּ. כְּגוֹן אֵזוֹבָא, עֵץ אֶרֶז, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא מִלֵּי.
Observe: “everyone that is called by My name” (Is. 43, 7). How supernal are the works of the Holy King! For in those works that He made below He bound them to supernal things above, and when men take them below and perform an act with them, that act above to which each is bound is roused — for instance hyssop and cedar wood; and we have explained these matters.
Segment 2ב׳
וְאִית מִנַּיְיהוּ דְּאֲחִידָן בִּשְׁמָא קַדִּישָׁא, כְּגוֹן (ויקרא כד ע"א) לוּלָב, וְאֶתְרוֹג, הֲדָס, וַעֲרָבָה, דְּכֻלְּהוּ אֲחִידָן בִּשְׁמָא קַדִּישָׁא לְעֵילָא. וְעַל דָּא תָּנִינָן, לְאַחֲדָא לוֹן, וּלְמֶעְבַּד בְּהוּ עוֹבָדָא, בְּגִין לְאִתְעָרָא חֶדְוָה הַהוּא דְאָחִיד בֵּיהּ. וְעַל דָּא תָּנִינָן, בְּמִלִּין וְעוֹבָדָא בָּעְיָין לְאַחֲזָאָה מִלָּה, בְּגִין לְאִתְעָרָא מִלָּה אָחֳרָא.
And there are among them that cleave to the Holy Name, such as the palm branch, the citron, the myrtle and the willow, all of which cleave to the Holy Name above. And therefore we have learnt: to take hold of them and to perform an act with them, in order to rouse that joy to which each cleaves. And therefore we have learnt: with words and with act they must display one thing in order to rouse another.
Segment 3ג׳
הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, כָּל הַנִּקְרָא בִּשְׁמִי וְלִכְבוֹדִי (בראתיו), לְאַתְעָרָא יְקָרִי. בְּרָאתִיו, לְיַיחֲדָא לִי. יְצַרְתִּיו, לְמֶעְבַּד בֵּיהּ עוֹבָדָא (נ"א חילא). אַף עֲשִׂיתִיו, לְאַתְעָרָא בֵּיהּ חֵילָא דִּלְעֵילָא.
This is what is written: “everyone that is called by My name and for My glory” — to rouse My glory. “I have created him” — to unify Me. “I have formed him” — to perform an act with him. “Yea, I have made him” — to rouse in him the power above.
