Zohar, Tzav 3
Section 3 of 30 in Tzav — 8 segments
Segment 1
(Shemot, folio 239b.) R. Eleazar asked R. Simeon his father and said: The bond of all is bound in the Holy of Holies to be illumined; the cleaving of the will of the priests, the Levites and Israel above — how far does it ascend?
Segment 2
He said to him: We have explained it — as far as En Sof (the Limitless). For every bond and union and completion is to be stored away in that concealment which is not grasped and is not known, in which is the will of all wills. En Sof does not stand to be made known, and does not make an end, and does not make a head. The primal Ayin (Nought) brought forth head and end. What is the head? This is the supernal point, which is the head of all, hidden, standing within thought. And it makes an end, which is called “the end of the matter”; but to that place there is no end.
Segment 3
There are no wills, no lights, no lamps in that En Sof. All these lights and lamps depend on it for their existence, and they do not stand to be grasped. He who knows and does not know — it is nothing but a supernal will, hidden of all hidden: Ayin.
