Section 2 of 30 in Tzav — 4 segments
Segment 1
And should you say: but it is written, “and let fowl fly above the earth” (Gen. 1, 20) — for from them too they bring an offering, and even a burnt offering, as it is written, “And if his offering be a burnt offering of fowl.” Observe: of all those birds they bring near none but turtledoves or young pigeons. But this is the mystery: what is fit in the one is unfit in the other. This one is the right and that one is the left, and all is one.
Segment 2
“Fowl shall fly above the earth”: we have explained that they are the mystery of the chariot, and by them the holy spirit is raised, to ascend above; for they are two, one to the right and one to the left. “Fowl”, to the right — and this is Michael. “Shall fly”, to the left — and this is Gabriel. This one to the right and that one to the left.
Segment 3
And therefore they bring near these two, to raise the holy spirit; and the left crowns and arms below that side of the left, and the right to the right. And the woman is bound to her husband, to be one. And all is raised and bound as one, above and below; and the Holy One, blessed be He, is raised alone and is made strong.
