Section 122 of 129 in Pinchas — 3 segments
Segment 1
And on the eighth day of Atzeret (solemn gathering) - one bull, one ram. Behold, the master of our Mishnah established it to be about a king that invited guests. After he sent them away, he said to those members of his household, "You and I shall make a small banquet." So what is an atzeret? It is like you say (I Samuel 9:17), "this one will rule (yaatzor) over My people." So aatzar is only monarchy. From the side of the supernal Divine Presence He makes a great banquet; from the side of Kingship (Malkhut), a small banquet. And Israel is accustomed to be joyful with him, so it is called Simchat Torah. And we crown the Torah scroll with its crown, a hint that the Torah scroll is Splendor (Tiferet). The Divine Presence is crowned with splendor
Segment 2
R. Eleazar said: Father, why from the side of the supernal Mother does He invite all the chieftains of all the nations, and from the side of the lower Shekinah He invites only a single nation, corresponding to a single bullock?
Segment 3
He said to him: My son, you have asked well. Because malchut is alluded to as the daughter, who is modest in the house of her father and her mother; and she is betrothed and not married, and it is not the way of the world for her to eat with guests. But the Mother, who is married — it is the way of the world (a variant adds: to eat with the guests), after her husband has invited guests, to eat at the table with her husband. And if those guests are strangers, neither Father nor Mother eats with them, and all the more so the daughter. And therefore at the meal of the seventy chieftains not one of the King's household joined to eat with them, because they are strangers. He said to him: Assuredly, now the matter is settled in my heart, in its full clarity.
