Section 107 of 129 in Pinchas — 4 segments
Segment 1
And the Holy Lamp said (Shemot, folio 49): “All the souls of the house of Jacob, sixty and six” (Gen. 46, 27). “Sixty” — for the awakening of the first Messiah; “and six” — for the awakening of the second Messiah. There remain six years to seventy-two, to fulfil through them: “Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its produce” (Lev. 25, 3); of which it is said, “Israel is the Lord's hallowed portion, His first-fruits of the produce” (Jer. 2, 3).
Segment 2
If so, what is written above? “Sing with gladness for Jacob” (Jer. 31, 7). Rather, four redemptions are destined to be, corresponding to the four cups of Passover; because Israel are scattered in the four corners of the world. And those who will be far from the nations came first, to “Sing”; and the second, to sixty; and the third, to sixty-six; and the fourth, to seventy-two.
Segment 3
And these redemptions will be through the four Hayyoth, by the name of the Tetragrammaton which rides upon them. This is what is written, “That You ride upon Your horses, upon Your chariots of victory” (Hab. 3, 8-9). For corresponding to them, four standards and twelve tribes will be aroused below, in the mystery of “The Lord is King, the Lord was King, the Lord shall reign for ever and ever” (Ex. 15, 18). Twelve letters are they, corresponding to the twelve tribes, and the twelve faces of the three patriarchs, of whom it is said: The patriarchs, they are the chariot. And they are: ten tribes, a thousand years; two tribes, two hundred years. And from the twelve letters hang seventy-two Names, which are seventy-two years after a thousand and two hundred.
