Segment 1
The Palace of Ratzon (desire) — tiferet (beauty). The sixth palace. This is the palace that is called the palace of Ratzon, which is desire, which is called “that which proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord” (Deut. 8, 3), the joy of the cleaving of all. And here is the desire of desires, in the mystery of what is written, “Your lips are like a thread of scarlet” (S. S. 4, 3) — the desire of all the souls that go forth from that which proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
Segment 2
This palace is the palace of desire, where all the requests and all the petitions of the world stand. For it is the desire of all desires, when kisses are found, in the mystery of what is written, “And Jacob kissed Rachel” (Gen. 29, 11). And then, when this one kisses that one, then it is called et ratzon, a time of favour. For then completeness is found, and all faces shine. And when prayers ascend, then it is a time of favour, to be found; and therefore it is written, “But as for me, let my prayer be to You, O Lord, in a time of favour” (Ps. 69, 14) — which is the joining of this one with that.
Segment 3
In this palace stand six doors: four doors to the four quarters of the world, and one above and one below. Over these doors one spirit is appointed, who is chief over all those that are appointed at all these doors, and Raziel is his name. And he is appointed and charged over all those supernal mysteries that mouth speaks to mouth, that kiss this one, which is not in the love of affection.
