Segment 1
The Palace of Nogah (brightness) — netzach (victory). The third palace. This palace is the palace that stands in a supernal light, more than all these earlier ones. In this palace stand four doors: one to the south side, and one to the east side, and one to the north side, and one to the west side. At every single door there is one chieftain, who stands appointed over each and every door.
Segment 2
The first door: this is the door at which one chieftain stands, Malkiel is his name. And he rules over all those writs that go forth from the King’s court, for the world to be judged (a variant reads: in that writ). Because he is the one appointed to look into those writs; and two scribes are beneath his hand, one on the right and one on the left.
Segment 3
To him were given the orderings of the writs, to set them in order before they go forth from this gate to the outside and are delivered into the hand of that chieftain who is in the first palace. For from the moment that they are delivered into the hand of that chieftain who is in the first palace, they have gone forth from there, and there is no authority to bring them back.
