זוהר, קרח ח׳Zohar, Korach 8

Segment 1א׳

(במדבר י״ח:כ״ג) וְעָבַד הַלֵּוִי הוּא אֶת עֲבוֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְגוֹ'. רִבִּי אַבָּא פָּתַח, (ישעיהו מ׳:כ״ב) הַיּוֹשֵׁב עַל חוּג הָאָרֶץ וְגוֹ'. תָּא חֲזֵי, כַּד בָּעָא קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְמִבְרֵי עָלְמָא, סָלִיק בִּרְעוּתָא קַמֵּיהּ, וּבָרָא לֵיהּ בְּאוֹרַיְיתָא. (ס"א כד סליק ברעותא קמיה קודשא בריך הוא למברי עלמא אסתכל באורייתא וברא ליה) וּבָה אִשְׁתַּכְלַל. הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, (משלי ח׳:כ״ז) בַּהֲכִינוֹ שָׁמַיִם שָׁם אָנִי. וּכְתִיב (משלי ח׳:ל׳) וָאֶהְיֶה אֶצְלוֹ אָמוֹן. וְהָא אוּקְמוּהָ, אַל תִּקְרֵי אָמוֹן, אֶלָּא אוּמָן.

BUT THE LEVITES SHALL DO THE SERVICE OF THE TENT OF MEETING. At the time of the Creation the world was not completed and established until man emerged in his complete form as the consummation of all and the (seventh) day was sanctified and the holy throne was set for the King.

Segment 2ב׳

כַּד אֲתֵּי לְמִבְרֵי אָדָם, וְהָא אִתְּמַר, אָמְרָה תּוֹרָה וְכִי לְמַגָּנָא אִתְקְרִיאַת אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב חֶסֶד. בְּהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא דְּנָפִיק אָדָם לְעָלְמָא, הֲוָה זִיו פַּרְצוּפָא דִּילֵיהּ מֵעֵילָּא וּמִתַּתָּא, וַהֲווּ דַּחֲלִין מִנֵּיהּ כָּל בִּרְיָין, וְאוֹקְמוּהָ. תָּא חֲזֵי, לָא אִתְקַיָּים עָלְמָא, וְלָא אִשְׁתְּלִים, עַד הַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא דְּנַפָק אָדָם בִּשְׁלִימוּ דְּכֹלָּא, וְאִתְקַדָּשׁ יוֹמָא, וְאִתְתְּקָן כֻּרְסְיָיא קַדִּישָׁא לְמַלְכָּא, כְּדֵין אִשְׁתְּלִימוּ עִלָּאֵי וְתַתָּאֵי, וְאִשְׁתְּכָחוּ חֶדְוָון בְּכֻלְּהוּ עָלְמִין.

When He came to create man — and this has been stated — the Torah said: Is it for nothing that He is called ‘long-suffering and abundant in lovingkindness’? At the hour when man came forth into the world, the radiance of his countenance shone from above and from below, and all creatures were in awe of him; and it has been explained. Observe: the world did not endure and was not completed until that hour when man came forth in the perfection of all, and the day was sanctified, and the holy throne was set in order for the King. Then those above and those below were made complete, and joy was found in all the worlds.

Segment 3ג׳

בְּהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא דְּבָעָא יוֹמָא לְאִתְקַדְּשָׁא, הֲווֹ נָפְקֵי רוּחֵיהוֹן דְּשֵׁדִין לְאִתְבְּרֵי גּוּפָא דִּלְהוֹן, וְאִתְקַדָּשׁ יוֹמָא, וְלָא אִתְבְּרִיאוּ, וְאִשְׁתְּאַר עָלְמָא כְּמָה דְּאִתְפְּגִים מֵעֲבִידָתָא וְאִסְתֲחָר (ס"א ואתחסר), כֵּיוָן דְּאִתְקָדָּשׁוּ (עלמין) יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִשְׁתְּלִימוּ בְּדַרְגֵּיהוֹן, וְאִשְׁתְּכָחוּ לֵיוָאֵי בִּסְטָר שְׂמָאלָא, כַּד (ס"א כדין) אִשְׁתְּלִים הַהוּא פְּגִימָא דְּעָלְמָא, דְּמִסְּטַר שְׂמָאלָא.

At the moment when the day was about to be sanctified the spirits of the demons issued forth, but the day was sanctified before their bodies were created, and so the world was left deficient. When Israel were sanctified and all their grades completed with the Levites on the left side, then this deficiency of the world on the left side was made good, and all was then subordinated to the right and the world was freed from defect.
