Section 18 of 30 in Ki Teitzei — 10 segments
Segment 1
And the Holy Lamp said further: Assuredly you are all of it (a variant reads: and He said, and so forth), of which He said, “If there be a prophet among you,” etc. (Num. 12, 6). And therefore, when the supernal Mother was revealed to you, you said, “I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt” (Ex. 3, 3). Because she is mercy, it is said of her, “the bush is not burnt.”
Segment 2
And she has five lights, which are called the rays of the sun, as far as hod (majesty); and from there as far as hod they shone in you, Faithful Shepherd. And this is, “and He gave hod to Moses” — to make it known that they were all given to you, even as far as hod. And therefore the face of Moses was as the face of the sun. And these five ascend to the fifty gates of binah.
Segment 3
And in those five that were spoken of — which are the five occurrences of light of the first day, corresponding to the five fingers of the right hand — she appeared to you in the bush, because you are destined to bring the seed of Abraham out of exile, whose grade (of Abraham) is the right. And from there binah is perfect mercy, the great hand. But from the side of gevurah (severity), the mighty hand, are the five occurrences of firmament on the second day, corresponding to the five fingers of the left hand. But from the side of your own grade: “and the children of Israel went out with a high hand” (Ex. 14, 8) — the body and two arms and two thighs, corresponding to five fingers, He, He, He: five fingers of the right hand, and five of the left hand, and two arms and two thighs and the body, which are the five that mount up to Yah.
