Segment 1א׳

אָתָא בּוּצִּינָא קַדִּישָׁא, לְנַשְּׁקָא לֵיהּ יְדֵיהּ. אָמַר, וַדַּאי אַנְתְּ הוּא בֵּן מִתַּמָּן, בְּדִיּוּקְנָא דִּבְרָא בּוּכְרָא דִּילֵיהּ, תִּפְאֶרֶת בְּרָא דְּאַבָּא וְאִימָא עִלָּאָה, אֲצִּילוּת דִּילֵיהּ בְּלָא הַפְסָקָה, לָא קְדָמָךְ בְּרָא אָחֳרָא, לָא בְּמַחֲשָׁבָה, וְלָא בְּדִבּוּר, וְלָא בְּמַעֲשֶׂה. אָמַר רַעְיָא מְהֵימָנָא, וְאַנְתְּ, וְחַבְרַיָּיא, וְרָאשֵׁי מָארֵי מְתִיבְתָּאן, דִּמְזַמְּנִין הָכָא, אִתִּי, בְּלָא הַפְסָקָה כְּלַל, וּבְלָא תַּעֲרוֹבֶת. נַשְׁקוּ כֻּלְּהוּ דָּא לְדָא, וְאִשְׁתְּמוֹדָעוּ בְּאַחְוָה, וּבָכוּ.

The Holy Lamp came to kiss his hands. He said: assuredly you are a son from there, in the likeness of His firstborn son, tiferet, the son of the supernal Father and Mother, His emanation without interruption. No other son preceded you: not in thought, and not in speech, and not in deed. The Faithful Shepherd said: and you, and the Companions, and the heads of the Masters of the Academies who are summoned here, are with me, without any interruption at all, and without admixture. They all kissed one another, and knew one another in brotherhood, and wept.

Segment 2ב׳

פָּתַח רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְאָמַר, עִם כָּל דָּא, בְּרָא בּוּכְרָא חַיָּיבִין כָּל אֲחוּי בִּיקָרֵיהּ, דְּהָא כְּתִיב (שמות כ׳:י״ב) כַּבֵּד אֶת אָבִיךָ, וְאוּקְמוּהָ רַבָּנָן, אֶת לְרַבּוֹת אָחִיךְ הַגָּדוֹל. וַאֲפִילּוּ מִכָּל סִטְרָא אִיהוּ מְפֹרָשׁ עֲלָךְ בְּאוֹרַיְיתָא, בְּשַׁגַּ"ם זֶה הֶבֶל. וְלָא הֲוָה לְאָדָם קַדְמָאָה בְּרָא קַדְמָאָה מִנֵּיהּ, וְאוּקְמוּהָ רַבָּנָן, בְּשַׁגַּם, זֶה מֹשֶׁה. דִּבְּרָא דְּמַלְכָּא בְּכָל אֲתַר, אַנְתְּ בּוּכְרָא מִסִּטְרָא דְּאִילָנָא דְּחַיֵּי דְּטוֹב וָרָע, אַנְתְּ הוּא טוֹב. (בוכרא) הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, (בראשית א׳:ד׳) וַיַרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָאוֹר כִּי טוֹב, (שמות ב׳:כ״ה) וַתֵּרֶא אוֹתוֹ כִּי טוֹב הוּא.

R. Simeon opened and said: with all this, all his brothers are bound to the honour of a firstborn son, for it is written, “Honour your father” (Ex. 20, 12), and the Rabbis have explained: “et” — to include your elder brother. And even from every side he is set forth concerning you in the Torah: “beshagam” — this is Abel. And Adam, the first man, had no son earlier than him; and the Rabbis have explained: “beshagam” — this is Moses. For the son of the King is in every place. You are the firstborn from the side of the tree of life, of good and evil; you are the good (a variant reads: the firstborn). This is what is written, “And God saw the light, that it was good” (Gen. 1, 4); “and she saw him that he was good” (Ex. 2, 25).

וּמִתַּמָּן קָרָא יָתָךְ קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא עֶבֶד נֶאֱמָן. לְבָתַר סְלִיקַת לְמֶהֱוִי מַלְכָּא, הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, (דברים ל״ג:ה׳) וַיְהִי בִישׁוּרוּן מֶלֶךְ. לְבָתַר בֶּן בַּיִת לְעֵילָּא. מֶלֶךְ מִסִּטְרָא דְּמַלְכוּת דִּבְרִיאָה. בֶּן בַּיִת, מִסִּטְרָא דְּבִינָה דִּבְרִיאָה. כְּעַן אַנְתְּ מֶלֶךְ, מִסִּטְרָא דְּאִילָנָא דְּמַלְכוּת דַּאֲצִּילוּת. בֶּן בַּיִת, מִסִּטְרָא דְּבֶ"ן יָ"הּ, תִּפְאֶרֶת דַּאֲצִּילוּת, זַכָּאָה חוּלָקָךְ. וּמַאן גָּרִים לָךְ דָּא, בְּגִין דְּאִשְׁתְּדָּלוּתָךְ בַּתּוֹרָה וּבַמִצְּוָה, לְיַחֲדָא קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, לְאַעֲלָא מַלְכָּא עַל אַתְרֵיהּ, וְעַל מַשִׁרְיָיתֵיהּ לְעֵילָּא, וְעַל יִשְׂרָאֵל לְתַתָּא.

And from there the Holy One, blessed be He, called you a faithful servant. Afterwards you rose to be a king, as it is written, “And there was a king in Jeshurun” (Deut. 33, 5). Afterwards, a son of the house above. A king, from the side of the malchut of Beriah; a son of the house, from the side of the binah of Beriah. Now you are a king from the side of the tree of the malchut of Atzilut; a son of the house, from the side of the son of Yod-He, the tiferet of Atzilut. Happy is your portion. And what has brought you this? Because of your labour in the Torah and in the commandment, to unite the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Shekinah, to bring the King into His place, and over His hosts above, and over Israel below.
