Segment 1
It is written, “Righteousness and judgement are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before You” (Ps. 89, 15). Who is wise? Let him look into this, to see the ways (a variant reads: the judgements) of the supernal Holy One: judgements of truth, judgements that are crowned with supernal crowns. For I see that all the lamps shine from the supernal lamp, the Hidden of all hidden — all of them grades to be illumined (a variant reads: and all of them are grades to be illumined). And in that light which is in each and every grade, what is revealed is revealed; and all the lights are held together, this light in this light, and this light in this light, and they shine one in the other, and are not separated one from the other.
Segment 2
The light of each and every lamp — which are called the adornments of the King, the crowns of the King — each one shines, and holds on to that light which is innermost, and is not separated outward. And therefore all ascends in one grade, and all is crowned in one word, and they are not separated one from the other: He and His Name are one. The light that is revealed is called the garment of the King. The innermost light (a variant adds: in that light is mah (what)) is a hidden light, and in it dwells that which is not separated and not revealed.
Segment 3
And all the lamps and all the lights shine from the Holy Ancient One, the Hidden of all hidden, the supernal lamp. And when they look into all the lights that spread, nothing is found but the supernal lamp, which is hidden and is not revealed.
