Zohar, Idra Zuta 22

Section 22 of 43 in Idra Zuta — 6 segments

Segment 1

It is written, “For the Lord is a God of knowledge (deot)” (I Sam. 2). Deot, assuredly. He is the da'at. By da'at all the palaces are filled, as it is written, “And by knowledge are the chambers filled.” (a variant adds: Therefore) The other da'at is not revealed, for that which is hidden goes within it, and is comprised in it. Da'at shines in the brains, and spreads through the whole brain. (a variant adds: in the brain, in the whole body; “For the Lord is a God of knowledge.”)

Segment 2

In the Book of Agadah we have learnt: “For the Lord is a God of knowledge (deot)” — do not read deot, but edut (testimony), for he is the testimony of all, the testimony of the two portions, as you say, “For He established a testimony in Jacob” (Ps. 78, 5). And although this matter has been explained in the Book of the Hidden Mystery in another fashion, there it is complete in its place, here all is well; and all holds when the word is sealed.

Segment 3

The father and mother (Aba and Imma) within them contain everything, and everything are hidden within them. They are hidden within the Holy Mazala of the most ancient. They are hidden within it, and incorporated within it. All is within, and within is everything. Blessed be He, and blessed be His name forever and ever.
