Section 38 of 52 in Idra Rabba — 2 segments
Segment 1
The seventh adornment: that the hair does not hang over the mouth, and the mouth is cleared on all its sides, and hairs sit in adornment round about it. Rise, R. Judah. R. Judah rose, opened and said: “The matter is by the decree of the watchers” (Dan. 4, 14). How many thousand myriads are raised (a variant reads: are settled) and established by this mouth, and hang from it; and all of them are called “mouth”. This is what is written, “and all the host of them by the spirit of His mouth” (Ps. 33, 6). And from that spirit which goes forth from the mouth they are clothed.
Segment 2
All those that are outside hang from this mouth. And from this mouth (a variant reads: spirit), when this spirit spreads out, many faithful prophets are clothed in it, and all of them are called “the mouth of the Lord”. And in the place where the spirit goes forth, nothing else is mingled; and all of them (a variant adds: the mouths) wait to be clothed in that spirit which goes forth. And this adornment rules over all six, because here all of them are established and united. And therefore its hairs are balanced round about the mouth, and it is cleared on all its sides. And this adornment rules over all, because here all of them are established and united. R. Simeon said: Blessed be you to the Holy Ancient One.
