רעיא מהימנא פִּקוּדָא דָּא, לְסַדְּרָא כַּהֲנָא בְּכָל יוֹמָא בּוּצִּינִין בְּבֵי מַקְדְּשָׁא, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא בְּרָזָא דִּמְנוֹרָה. וְאִיהוּ רָזָא כְּגַוְונָא דִּלְעֵילָּא, בְּגִין דִּנְהִירוּ עִלָּאָה בִּמְשַׁח רְבוּ, נָחִית עַל רֵישָׁא דְּכַהֲנָא בְּקַדְמִיתָא לְבָתַר אִיהוּ אַדְלִיק וְאַנְהִיר כָּל בּוּצִּינִין. דִּכְתִּיב כַּשֶּׁמֶן הַטוֹב עַל הָרֹאשׁ וְגוֹ', וּכְתִיב כִּי שֶׁמֶן מִשְׁחַת אֱלֹהָיו עָלָיו וְגוֹ'. וְעַל דָּא אִתְיְיהִיב רְשׁוּ לְכַהֲנָא בִּלְחוֹדוֹי, לְסַדְּרָא בּוּצִּינִין, וּלַאֲדְלָקָא לְהוֹן בְּכָל יוֹמָא תְּרֵין זִמְנִין, לָקֳבֵל נְהִירוּ דְּיִחוּדָא תְּרֵין זִמְנִין, קָרְבְּנָא בְּכָל יוֹמָא, תְּרֵין זִמְנִין, וְכֹלָּא אִצְּטְרִיךְ.
THEY SHALL NOT MAKE BALDNESS UPON THEIR HEAD. R. Jose said: ‘The reason is that on the head of the supernal Priest is the holy oil of anointing, the removal of which would cause baldness; and therefore the priest below must perform an action symbolical of this.’
Segment 2ב׳
וְעַל יְדֵי דְּכַהֲנָא נַהֲרִין בּוּצִּינִין בְּכֹלָּא, עֵילָּא וְתַתָּא לְמֶחְדּוּ חֵידּוּ, וּלְאַשְׁכְּחָא חֵידּוּ בְּכָל סִטְרִין. בְּאַדְלְקוּתָא דְּבוּצִּינִין, דְּהָא תְּרֵין אִלֵּין עַל יְדֵי דְּכַהֲנָא, לְאִשְׁתַּכְּחָא חֵידוּ בְּכָל סִטְרִין, וְאִלֵּין אִינּוּן אַדְלְקוּתָא דְּבוּצִּינִין וּקְטֹרֶת. וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא (משלי כ״ז:ט׳) שֶׁמֶן וּקְטֹרֶת יְשַׂמַּח לֵב, (ע"כ רעיא מהימנא)
And through the priest the lamps give light in all, above and below, so that joy may rejoice and gladness be found on every side, in the kindling of the lamps; for these two are through the priest, so that gladness may be found on every side, and these are the kindling of the lamps and the incense. And we have explained, “Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart” (Prov. 27, 9). (End of Ra'aya Meheimna)
