זוהר, בראשית ס״גZohar, Bereshit 63

Segment 1א׳

תָּא חֲזֵי (חסר כאן היכל ו' ז): אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן מַאן הוּא דְּיָדַע לְסַדְרָא צְלוֹתָא (קמיה) דְמָרֵיהּ כְּמשֶׁה. בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְאִצְטְרִיךְ לֵיהּ לְסַדְּרָא צְלוֹתֵיהּ בְּאֲרִיכוּת סָדַר. וּבְשַׁעֲתָא דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ לֵיהּ לְקַצְרָא הָכִי נָמֵי. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן הָא אַשְׁכַּחְנָא בְּסִפְרֵי קַדְמָאֵי סִדּוּרָא דְרָזֵי דְרָזִין בְּקִשּׁוּרָא חָדָא. זִמְנִין דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ לְסַדְּרָא צְלוֹתֵיהּ כְּדְקָא יָאוּת. וּלְקָשְׁרָא קִשְׁרִין לִבְסוּמֵי לְמָארֵיהּ כְּדְקָא יְאוּת. וּלְמִנְדַע לְיַחֲדָא יִחוּדָא שְׁלֵימָתָא לְמִקְרַע רְקִיעִין וּלְאַפְתָּחָא תַּרְעִין וּפִתְחִין דְּלָא יְהֵא מָאן דְּיִמְחֵי בִּידֵיהּ.

Observe: R. Simeon said: Who is there that knows how to order prayer before his Master as Moses did? When he needed to order his prayer at length, he ordered it so; and when he needed to shorten it, so likewise. R. Simeon said: I have found in the books of the ancients an ordering of the mystery of mysteries in a single bond. There are times when a man must order his prayer as is fitting, and tie knots to give delight to his Master as is fitting, and know how to make a perfect unification, to cleave the firmaments and to open gates and doorways, so that there shall be none to stay his hand.

Segment 2ב׳

זַכָּאִין אִנּוּן צַדִּיקַיָּא דְּאִנּוּן יָדְעֵי לְמִפְתֵּי לְמָארֵיהוֹן וּלְבִטּוּלֵי גְּזִרִין וּלְאַשְׁרָאָה שְׁכִינְתָּא בְּעָלְמָא וּלְנַחֲתָא בִּרְכָאן וּלְמֶעֱדֵי מָארֵיהוֹן דְּדִינִין דְּלָא יִשְׁלְטוּן בְּעָלְמָא. קָם רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְאָמַר (תהילים ק״ו:ב׳) מִי יְמַלֵּל גְּבוּרוֹת יְיָ וְגו'. מָאן יְגַלֵּי עַפְרָא מֵעֵינָךְ אַבְרָהָם חֲסִידָא יָמִינָא דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא. דְּגָלֵי לָךְ רָזָא דְּרָזִין. וְשָׁרִיאַת צְלוֹתִין בְּעָלְמָא. וְאִתְגַּלְיָין לָךְ הֵיכָלֵי דְמַלְכָּא עִלָּאָה.

Happy are the righteous, who know how to entreat their Master, and to annul decrees, and to cause the Shekinah to dwell in the world, and to bring down blessings, and to remove the masters of judgement so that they shall not rule in the world. R. Simeon rose and said: “Who can express the mighty acts of the Lord, etc.” (Ps. 106, 2). Who will remove the dust from your eyes, Abraham the pious, right hand of the Holy One, blessed be He — you to whom the mystery of mysteries was disclosed, who began prayer in the world, and to whom the palaces of the supernal King were revealed.

Segment 3ג׳

שִׁבְעָה הֵיכָלִין קַדִּישִׁין אִנּוּן. וְאִנּוּן קַיָּימִין בְּתַרְעִין בְּקִיּוּמָא. וּבְכָל חַד וְחַד עָאל צְלוֹתָא דְּיִחוּדָא (ד"א ל"ג דמריה) דְּמָאן דְּיָדַע לִבְסוּמֵי לְמָארֵיהּ וּלְיַחֲדָא יִחוּדָא בִּשְׁלִימוּ. דְּיָדַע לְאָעֳלָא בְּכֻלְהוּ וּלְקָשְׁרָא קִשְׁרִין אִלֵּין בְּאִלֵּין רוּחָא בְּרוּחָא. רוּחָא תַּתָּאָה בְּרוּחָא עִלָּאָה כְּתִיב, (ישעיהו כ״ו:ט״ז) יְיָ בַּצַר פְּקָדוּךָ צָקוּן לַחַשׁ מוּסָרְךָ לָמוֹ: (עיין בפרדס בשער היכלות הקדושות והיכלותהתמורות).

There are seven holy palaces, and they stand at the gates in fixed station. Into each and every one enters the prayer of unification of one who knows how to give delight to his Master and to unify a unification in wholeness — one who knows how to enter into them all, and to tie knots one to another, spirit with spirit, the lower spirit with the supernal spirit. It is written: “Lord, in trouble they sought You, silently they poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them” (Is. 26, 16).
