Segment 1א׳

תָּא חֲזֵי, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּאִתְבָּרְכָא כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, עָלְמִין כֻּלְּהוּ אִתְבָּרְכָן, וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְתַתָּא, יַנְקִין וּמִתְבָּרְכָן בְּגִינָהּ. וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא דְּהִיא אַגָנָא עָלַיְיהוּ, דְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, כְּמָה דְּאִתְּמַר.

Observe: at the hour when the Community of Israel is blessed, all the worlds are blessed, and Israel below suck and are blessed for her sake. And we have explained that she is a shield over them, over Israel, as has been said.

Segment 2ב׳

כְּתִיב (שמות י״ד:י״ט) וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים הַהוֹלֵךְ וְגוֹ'. מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים דָּא כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא, דְּהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא, בְּסִיוּעַ דַּאֲבָהָן נַטְלָא. וְכַד אִינּוּן מִשְׁתַּכְּחִין לְגַבָּהּ, כֹּלָּא מִשְׁתַּכְּחֵי. וּבְגִין כָּךְ אִתְמְסַר בְּאִלֵּין קְרָאֵי שְׁמָא קַדִּישָׁא, דְּכָלִיל בְּהוֹן אֲבָהָתָא, כְּמָה דְּאוֹקִימְנָא. חַד קְרָא כְּסִדְרָא, וְחַד לְמַפְרֵעַ, וְחַד כְּסִדְרָא.

It is written, “And the angel of God, who went,” etc. (Ex. 14, 19). “The angel of God” — this is the Community of Israel; and we have explained that at that hour she journeys with the support of the patriarchs. And when they are found beside her, all is found. And therefore in these verses the Holy Name was handed down, which comprises the patriarchs within them, as we have explained: one verse in straight order, and one in reverse, and one in straight order.

Segment 3ג׳

וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים הַהוֹלֵךְ וְגוֹ', דָּא כְּסִדְרָא בְּגִין דְּאַבְרָהָם אִשְׁתְּכַח הָכָא, וְכָל אִינּוּן דְּאָתוּ מִסִּטְרֵיהּ, וְעַל דָּא אִיהוּ כְּסִדְרָא כְּגַוְונָא דָּא. (אמר המגי"ה כאן מצאתי כתוב פסוק ויסע כסדר כל אות ואות בבית אחד במרובע עם זה הלשון ותמצאם כולם בסוף ח"ב בסוף שמות)

“And the angel of God, who went,” etc. — this one is in straight order, because Abraham is found here, and all those who came from his side; and therefore it is in straight order, after this pattern. (The corrector says: here I found written the verse vayissa in straight order, each and every letter in one cell, in a square, with this wording; and you will find them all at the end of Part Two, at the end of Exodus.)

Segment 4ד׳

הָכָא אִתְעֲטָּר אַבְרָהָם בְּעִטְרוֹי, וְאַעְטַּר לָהּ לִכְנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִלֵּין אַתְוָון כֻּלְּהוּ בְּאֹרַח מֵישָׁר, לְמֵיהַךְ בִּימָמָא. דִּכְתִיב (תהילים מ״ב:ט׳) יוֹמָם יְצַוְּה יְיָ חַסְדּוֹ וּבַלַּיְלָה שִׁירֹה עִמִּי. וְעַל דָּא כְּתִיב וַיִּסַּע, אֵימָתַי נַטְלִין בְּמַטְלָנַיְיהוּ, הֲוִי אֵימָא בִּימָמָא, כַּד נָהִיר שִׁמְשָׁא. וְדָא חַד קְרָא דְּאִיהוּ בְּשִׁבְעִין וּתְרֵין אַתְוָון.

Here Abraham was crowned with his crowns, and he crowned the Community of Israel; and all these letters are in a straight path, to go by day, as it is written, “By day the Lord will command His lovingkindness, and in the night His song is with me” (Ps. 42, 9). And therefore it is written “and journeyed.” When do they journey on their journeys? You must say: by day, when the sun shines. And this is one verse, which is of seventy-two letters.

Segment 5ה׳

תִּנְיָינָא דְּיִצְחָק, הָכִי נָמֵי דְּאִשְׁתְּכַח בְּע"ב אַתְוָון, לְאִשְׁתַּכְחָא בְּדִינָא לְגַבֵּי מִצְרָאֵי וּלְגַבֵּי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרַחֲמֵי. וְעַל דָּא כְּתִיב, וַיָּבֹא בֵּין מַחֲנֵה מִצְרַיִם וּבֵין מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, לָקֳבֵיל אִלֵּין וְלָקֳבֵיל אִלֵּין. וַיְהִי הֶעָנָן וְהַחֹשֶׁךְ, דְּהָכִי הוּא יוֹמָא דְּיִצְחָק, דְּעִיבָא הֲוִי, עֲנָנָא וַחֲשׁוֹכָא מִנֵּיהּ הוּא. וּבְגִין כַּךְ סִדוּרָא דְּאַתְוָון לְמַפְרֵעַ, (באורחא עקימא) וְלָא בְּאֹרַח מֵישָׁר, כְּגַוְונָא דָּא. (כאן מצאתי כתוב פסוק ויבא למפרע כל אות ואות בבית אחד במרובע עם זה הלשון)

The second is of Isaac, which likewise is found in seventy-two letters, to be found in judgement toward the Egyptians and in mercy toward Israel. And therefore it is written, “And it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel” — against these and against those. “And there was the cloud and the darkness”: for such is the day of Isaac, which was a day of thick cloud; the cloud and the darkness are from him. And therefore the ordering of the letters is in reverse, (by a crooked path) and not in a straight path, after this pattern.
