Zohar, Beha'alotcha 8
Section 8 of 27 in Beha'alotcha — 6 segments
Segment 1
Here are the patriarchs in their journeyings, in their works, in the bonds by which they are bound one to another. And when they are joined together as one, there is none who can stand before them. And we have learnt: in the place where the patriarchs are found, the rest of the righteous are found with them. And therefore this Name rises to other, distinct sides, even though they all go out upon one path.
Segment 2
There are seven bonds, in which the three patriarchs are bound, and four others. The head and the middle are in one bond; and these are they who dug the well of water. The second: “the one to the other,” and they are one bond, with three Yods.
Segment 3
The third: the completeness of all faith. The fourth: two pillars, upon which the body stands. The fifth: good and evil, the river that issues, the tree of life and death, (Bereshit, folio 221a) the deepest of all. The sixth: judgement within mercy. The seventh: it was said at the first, in that head of which we spoke, because it is the middle of all. And because it is the middle of all, it is called (Shemot, folio 55a) Ani (“I”), the mainstay of all the branches that are joined round about it.
