The Book Bahir: It has been taught: There is one pillar from the earth to the firmament, and Righteous is its name, after the name of the righteous. And when there are righteous men it grows strong, and if not it grows weak; and it bears the whole world, as it is written, “and the righteous is the foundation of the world” (Prov. 10, 25). And if it is weak, the world cannot endure. (Thus far.)
