ס"א יֵצֶר טוֹב וְיֵצֶר רָע דְּאִיהוּ חֶדְוָה וְאַיְיתֵי לָהּ לְגַבֵּיהּ, וּלְעֵילָא סִטְרָא דְּצָפוֹן מַמָּשׁ דְּאִיהוּ חֶדְוָה בְּלֹא זוֹהֲמָא דְיֶצֶר הַרָע אֲחִיד בֵּיה (נ"א בה). בְּקַדְמִיתָא דִּכְתִיב שְׂמֹאלוֹ תַּחַת לְרֹאשִׁי וּלְבָתָר וִימִינוֹ תְּחַבְּקֵנִי וְאִתְיְּיהִיבַת בֵּין יְמִינָא לִשְׂמָאלָא (נ"א ושמאלא) (לאתזנא) וְעַל דָא וַיּיִצֶר (יי אלהים שם מלא לגבי תרין סטרין אלין. את האדם וכו')
Another reading: the good inclination and the evil inclination, which is joy; and he brought her to him. And above, the side of the north itself, which is joy without the filth of the evil inclination clinging to it (a variant reads: to her). At the first, as it is written, “His left hand is under my head,” and afterwards, “and his right hand embraces me”; and she was set between the right and the left (a variant reads: and the left) (to be nourished). And therefore, “And He formed” (the Lord God — a full Name with regard to these two sides. “the man”, and so forth.)
