Section 3 of 52 in Addenda, Volume I — 26 segments
Segment 1
It is written, “And God called the light Day” (Gen. 1, 4), and it is written, “And God saw the light, that it was good.” Observe: this light below, when it shines from the power given to it from the good above…
Segment 2
And therefore the number of the days of the solar year is three hundred and sixty-five: forty-nine weeks of them correspond to this grade of the Righteous One, who is called Good, and who is the seventh; and from him this sun below sucks. Seven weeks, seven times, correspond to the seven weeks, seven times, in which he sucks from the supernal Mother, who is called the Jubilee; and corresponding to her are the years of the jubilee below.
Segment 3
There remain, of the three hundred and sixty-five, twenty-two days, corresponding to the twenty-two letters of the Torah, upon which the lower world is established; for the Righteous One above is called the Written Law. And when those three hundred and sixty-five days are completed, they return a second time to receive from this grade of Good; for this grade, and all those seven supernal grades, return a second time to receive from the supernal Mother.
