Segment 1
Matnitin (our teaching). Knots of the lofty ones, warrants of the scattered. Draw near, listen: who among you ascends and descends? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Let him stand and know. At the hour when it arose in the will of the White Head to make glory for His glory, one sealed brightness arose in the head of all. It blew within it and brought forth bright vaults, joining together as one, all of them; and they ascended and descended, and all became one.
Segment 2
And that sealed brightness, when He blew within it and it gave light, is called Ehyeh. That brightness ascends and descends and casts out sparks that glitter. And He blew within it (a variant reads: and brought forth within it) and brought forth one hidden power, and its name is called Asher Ehyeh, in an engraving hidden and sealed. Those bright vaults that were joined together came forth (a variant reads: they went forth) in engraving, from within one sealed rock, by the power of that supernal brightness; and it is called the Tetragrammaton.
Segment 3
Again He blew within it and brought forth sparks that glitter, casting to every quarter; and He brought forth one hidden power that glitters to every side, and it is called El (chesed). Again that hidden one, the sealed brightness — He blew within it, and it ascends and descends, and it rose in a thousand two hundred columns of fire, and brought forth one hidden power, and it is called Elohim; and this is gevurah. From this spread out hidden powers, flaming to every side: some of them are set in fitting orders, and some of them are set in another order.
