Se’if 1א׳

The gizzard has two skins. If this one was perforated without that one, it is fit, until both of them are perforated, this one over against that one; but if they were perforated, this one not over against that one, it is fit.

Se’if 2ב׳

If it was perforated and the fat that is upon it seals it, it is fit. Hagah [Rema]: And all the more so if not both of the skins were perforated — even though only a little of the outer skin remained unperforated, that it is fit (Terumat haDeshen, end of siman 165).

Se’if 3ג׳

If a needle was found thrust into it from within, its law is as the law of a needle that was found in the omasum and the reticulum. Hagah [Rema]: If the needle was found in the thickness of the flesh and is evident neither from within nor from without, see above, siman 48.
