Wool of ewes and camel's wool and the like of them, which he mixed together one with the other and spun a yarn from them: if half was of the ewes, the whole is as wool, and it is kilayim (the forbidden mixture of wool and linen) with linen. And if the greater part was of the camels, it is permitted to mix it with linen, because the form of the whole is the form of camel's wool, and they are not concerned for the hairs of wool mixed in them, because they are not threads of wool. Therefore the sheepskins from which they make garments — it is permitted to sew them with linen threads, and they are not concerned for the hairs of wool, even though they became wound into the linen thread with which they sewed, for they are nullified by being few. And likewise hemp and flax that he mixed together one with the other: if the greater part is of the hemp, it is permitted to weave the yarn from them with woollen threads; and if they were half and half, it is forbidden. Hence one whose wool became mixed with flax brings another kind and mixes it with them, and nullifies one of them. And nullification applies to them only before they are made into threads; but after they have been made into threads, kilayim has no measure: even a thread of wool of the smallest size in a large garment of linen, or of linen in wool, is forbidden. Hagah [Rema]: And even if the thread was lost and we do not know its place, nullification does not apply to it, and it is forbidden (Rashba, siman 259, and so wrote the Beit Yosef in the name of the Tosafot and the Rosh and Semag). A garment whose warp is of silk and whose woof is of linen — it is forbidden to sew it with wool, even though the greater part of it is silk (Tur). And therefore it is forbidden to make tallitot of the cloths that they call pirkut, for the woof is of linen, and it is kilayim with the tzitzit (his own opinion).
Se’if 2ב׳
One who makes a garment entirely of camel's wool, or of hare's wool, or of hemp, and wove into it a thread of wool on this side and a thread of linen on that side — this is forbidden on account of kilayim. Hagah [Rema]: And there are those who say that in such a case it is permitted, unless he wove the woollen thread beside the linen thread; but if they do not touch together, it is permitted (Beit Yosef in the name of the Rosh and the Rash). And see below, siman 300, that the custom is to be lenient.
