Se’if 1א׳
כָּתַב הַיְרִיעָה וּבָא לְהַנִּיחָהּ כְּדֵי שֶׁתִּתְיַבֵּשׁ, לֹא יַהֲפֹךְ הַכְּתָב לְמַטָּה. אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁמְּכַוֵּן כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יַעֲלֶה אָבָק עַל הַכְּתָב, מִכָּל מָקוֹם דֶּרֶךְ בִּזָּיוֹן הוּא, אֶלָּא יִהְיֶה פְּנֵי הַכְּתָב לְמַעְלָה, וְיִפְרֹשׂ עָלָיו בֶּגֶד.
If he wrote the sheet and comes to lay it down so that it dries, he shall not turn the writing over downward. Even though he intends that dust shall not settle on the writing, nevertheless it is a way of contempt; rather the face of the writing shall be upward, and he spreads a cloth over it.
