Se’if 1א׳
One does not circumcise until the sun rises on the eighth day from his birth; and if he circumcised once the dawn had come up, he has fulfilled the obligation (Beit Yosef, from the Mishnah, chapter 2 of Megillah). And the whole day long is fit for circumcision, save that the zealous are early for the commandments and circumcise at once in the morning. And even a circumcision that is not in its proper time is only by day. Hagah [Rema]: If he transgressed and circumcised at night, he must go back and let from him a drop of the blood of the covenant (Beit Yosef, from the Mishnah there, and Hagahot Maimoni). If he circumcised him within the eight days and by day, he has fulfilled the obligation (the Rosh, chapter "Rabbi Eliezer of circumcision", and so it appears from a responsum of the Rashba). And see below, siman 264.
Se’if 2ב׳
One who is sick is not circumcised until he recovers; and they wait for him, from the time that he was healed of his illness, seven days, from moment to moment, and then they circumcise him. In what case are these words said? Where fever has seized him and the like, which is an illness in the whole body; but if he was sick in one of his limbs, such as where his eyes pained him with a slight pain and the like, they wait for him until he recovers, and after he recovers they circumcise him at once. But if his eyes pained him with a great pain, it is as an illness in the whole body (Nimukei Yosef, chapter "The uncircumcised man").
Se’if 3ג׳
An androgynous person, someone with two foreskins, and someone born of a C-section are circumcised on the eighth [day].
