Se’if 1א׳

A child who is green — it is a sign that his blood has not fallen into him, and one does not circumcise him until his blood falls into him and his appearance returns to be like the appearance of other children. And likewise, if he is found red, it is a sign that his blood has not been absorbed into his limbs, but is between the skin and the flesh, and one does not circumcise him until his blood is absorbed into him. And one must be very careful in these matters, for one does not circumcise a child in whom there is a concern of illness, since danger to life overrides everything; for it is possible for him to be circumcised after a time, but it is impossible ever to bring back a single Israelite soul.

Se’if 2ב׳

A woman who circumcised her first son and he died on account of circumcision, for it had weakened his strength, and she circumcised the second too and he died on account of circumcision — behold, she is established as one whose sons die on account of circumcision, no difference whether from one husband or from two; and she shall not circumcise the third, but shall wait for him until he grows up and his strength becomes firm. And the same law applies if one man circumcised his first and second son and they died on account of circumcision: he shall not circumcise the third, whether they were his from one woman or from two. And there are those who disagree and hold that it does not apply in a man, only in a woman (Chiddushei Agudah, chapter "Rabbi Eliezer of circumcision"); and it appears that in a doubt concerning life one is lenient.

Se’if 3ג׳

And the same law applies if a woman circumcised her son and he died on account of circumcision, and her sister too circumcised her son and he died on account of circumcision: the remaining sisters shall not circumcise their sons, but shall wait until they grow up and their strength becomes firm.
