Se’if 1א׳
If they made an eruv (the loaf set aside to join separate households into one for the Sabbath) through a window or a doorway that was between them, and it was blocked up on the Sabbath, they are permitted to make use of it by way of the top of the wall and its holes. And even if he made the eruv for a year, and the doorway was blocked up on a weekday and opened on the Sabbath — and even if he blocked it up deliberately (Agur) — the eruv returns to its permission. And according to the Rambam, it is permitted to carry only in each courtyard by itself, but not from one to the other.
Se’if 2ב׳
If there was a wall between two courtyards, and each made an eruv for itself, and the wall was breached on the Sabbath, they are permitted to carry the whole Sabbath, each one in his own courtyard, even the vessels of the house. But a courtyard that was breached on the Sabbath into the public domain or into a karmelit (a domain that is neither public nor private, in which the Sages forbade carrying by a decree of their own) is forbidden.
Se’if 3ג׳
A small courtyard that was breached before the Sabbath along its full width into a large one, where the breach is no more than ten cubits: the large one is permitted to take out into its courtyard vessels that spent the Sabbath in the house, if it made an eruv for itself; and the small one is forbidden to take out into its courtyard vessels that spent the Sabbath in the house, unless they made an eruv together. And this is where the walls of the small one enter into the large one, and where the walls of the small one stand three handbreadths away from the lengthwise walls of the large one; for otherwise the small one would be permitted by means of "seen from without and level from within".
