Se’if 1א׳
One who enters the shop of a perfumer in which there are kinds of spices blesses "who creates kinds of spices". If he sat there the whole day, he blesses only once; if he went in and came out, went in and came out, he blesses each time. And that is specifically where it was not in his mind to return; but if his mind was to return, he does not bless.
Se’if 2ב׳
One does not bless over a scent unless it was made to give scent. Therefore one does not bless over the spices of the dead that are placed above the bier, for they serve only to take away the foul smell of the dead; but over those placed beneath it one blesses, for I say: they are made for the honour of the living. And likewise one does not bless over the spices of the privy, nor over oil made to take away the filth.
Se’if 3ג׳
Incense with which vessels are perfumed — one does not bless over it, because it was not made to give scent of the incense itself, but to impart scent to the vessels. And likewise one who smells vessels that have been perfumed does not bless, because there is no substance, only a scent without a substance.
