Se’if 1א׳
עַל פֵּרוֹת הָאָרֶץ מְבָרֵךְ בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה.
1. On fruit from the ground one recites Borei peri ho'adomoh
Se’if 2ב׳
עַל תּוּתִים הַגְּדֵלִים בַּסְנֶה, בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה. הַגָּה: דְּלֹא מִקְרֵי עֵץ אֶלָּא שֶׁמּוֹצִיא עָלָיו מִמֶּנּוּ, אֲבָל מַה שֶּׁמּוֹצִיא עָלָיו מִשָּׁרָשָׁיו לֹא מִקְרֵי עֵץ, וְהָנֵי כֵּיוָן דְּכָלָה עֵצָיו לְגַמְרֵי בַּחֹרֶף וְהָדָר פָּרַח מִשָּׁרָשָׁיו, מְבָרְכִין עָלָיו בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה (טוּר וּמָרְדְּכַי בְּשֵׁם תְּשׁוּבַת הַגְּאוֹנִים).
2. For strawberries that grow on a bush, the blessing is Borei Pri Ha'adamah. Rema: Something is only called a tree if its leaves grow from the wood of the plant. If the leaves grow from its roots, it is not called a tree. These plants, since their stems completely wither away in the winter and then regrow from their roots, are blessed with Borei Pri Ha'adamah.
