Se’if 1א׳
שור של עכו"ם או של הפקר או של חרש שוטה וקטן. ובו ה סעיפים: שור של ישראל שנגח שור של עכו"ם פטור ושל עכו"ם שנגח לשל ישראל בין תם בין מועד משלם נזק שלם:
The ox of a gentile, or an ownerless one, or of a deaf-mute, one who is not of sound mind or a minor; it contains five se'ifim. An Israelite's ox that gored a gentile's ox — he is exempt; and a gentile's that gored an Israelite's, whether not forewarned or forewarned, pays full damage.
Se’if 2ב׳
שור של הפקר שנגח וקודם שיתפוס אותו הניזק קדם אחר וזכה בו פטור:
An ownerless ox that gored, and before the one damaged seized it another came first and acquired it — he is exempt.
Se’if 3ג׳
נגח שורו והפקירו קודם שעמד בדין וזכה בו אחר פטור אבל אם זכה בו הוא עצמו חייב:
If his ox gored and he declared it ownerless before he stood in judgment, and another acquired it, he is exempt; but if he himself acquired it, he is liable.
