Se’if 1א׳
The firstborn does not take a double portion either of a loan or of improvement; and if he sold the portion of the birthright; it contains ten se'ifim. The firstborn takes a double portion only of the father's property, but not of the mother's property; even if he is a firstborn to the father and to the mother, he and the ordinary son divide the property equally.
Se’if 2ב׳
One who died and left sons and a widow, and the widow died before she swore concerning her ketubah — all the property is in the presumptive possession of the heirs, and the firstborn takes a double portion of it.
Se’if 3ג׳
The firstborn does not take a double portion of property that is only due to come after his father's death, but only of property already held by his father, which had come into his possession, as it is said, "of all that he has" (Deuteronomy 21:17). How so? If one of those from whom his father would inherit died after his father's death, the firstborn and the ordinary son inherit alike; and likewise, if his father had a loan owing to him, they inherit it alike.
