Se’if 1א׳

A gentile who converted, who gave the gift of a person dangerously ill or who freed his slave; it contains four se'ifim. A convert who has a son whose conception was not in holiness — since he does not inherit from him, so he cannot give him his property by the gift of a person dangerously ill, neither all of it nor part of it; for the language of inheritance and of gift, with regard to an heir, are one, and if you say that he acquires, it is found that this one inherits his father. Therefore, if he gave to a convert from among the other converts, his gift stands. Hagah [Rema]: And some say that he cannot give to any man by the gift of a person dangerously ill except by way of admission (Tur in the name of the Rosh, and Nimukei Yosef in the name of the Rashba); and so it seems the principal view. Some say that even though the gift of a person dangerously ill of a convert is nothing, nevertheless we say in it: it is a mitzvah to fulfil the words of the dead, if it is in the manner that was explained at the end of siman 252 (Mordechai, the first chapter of Gittin, and the Ran); and there are those who disagree (Tur in the name of the Rosh, klal 15, and Mordechai, chapter "One who died"). And a shetuki (one who knows his mother but not his father) has the law of a convert as regards the gift of a person dangerously ill; and since it is a dispute among the great authorities, we judge by the law that one who seeks to extract from his fellow bears the burden of proof; and if two are in possession, they divide (Terumat haDeshen, siman 352).

Se’if 2ב׳

A gentile who converted, who gave a gift to his son whose conception was not in holiness, and commanded that his son give a maneh to such-and-such an orphan girl — even though this gift is nothing, the son has acquired the orphan girl's maneh for the orphan girl.

Se’if 3ג׳

A person dangerously ill who admitted that so-and-so has such-and-such with him — give it to him — his admission is an admission; and even the admission of the convert to his son whose conception was not in holiness, or to a gentile — they give to him. But a person dangerously ill who commanded to give a gift to a gentile — they do not listen to him, for this is as one who commanded to commit a transgression with his property.
