Se’if 1א׳
The law of the acquisition of movables: which by drawing and which by handing over, and what is the law of the money in his hand; it contains fifteen se'ifim. By Torah law money acquires; but the Sages ordained that movables should be acquired only by lifting, or by drawing a thing that it is not the way to lift (and once he has drawn or lifted he has acquired, even though he did not give the money) (Tur). How? One who gathers wood or flax and the like and made of them a great load which cannot be lifted — it is not acquired by drawing, for it is possible to untie it and lift it piece by piece. But if it was a load of nuts, or of peppers, or of almonds, and the like, which no one can lift, it is acquired by drawing (and there are those who disagree and hold that even with wood it is acquired by drawing, since there is trouble in untying and lifting). And see below, siman 200, se'if 7, on the law of drawing and lifting (Tur).
Se’if 2ב׳
Lifting: some say that he must lift it three handbreadths, and some say that lifting a handbreadth suffices.
Se’if 3ג׳
The drawing of which they spoke: he must draw the whole article and bring it out of the whole place where it is.
