Standard gematria מספר הכרחי
Standard gematria — mispar hechrachi, the “necessary” count — gives each letter its fixed value: alef 1 through yod 10, then by tens to kuf 100, then by hundreds to tav 400. A word's value is the sum of its letters, and the five final forms count as their base letters. When a source quotes a gematria without naming a method, this is almost always the one it means.

Reading results under Standard
A search under Standard lists every word, every run of adjacent words within a verse, and every whole verse of the Tanakh whose Standard value equals your number — in canonical order, from Bereshit 1:1 forward, never ranked. It is the method every search on this site answers under until you choose another.
