Passage 1

"Nor with kik oil", and so on. What is kik oil? Shmuel said: I asked all who go down to the sea, and they said to me: there is a certain bird in the towns by the sea and kik is its name. Rav Yitzchak the son of Rav Yehuda said: it is oil of kaza (a seed from which oil is pressed). Reish Lakish said: it is the kikayon of Jonah. Rabbah bar bar Chana said: I myself have seen the kikayon of Jonah, and it is like the tzeluliva plant, and it grows in marshes, and they train it over the mouth of shops, and from its seeds they make oil, and in its branches all the sick of the West find rest.
