זוהר, ויחי ד׳Zohar, Vayechi 4

Segment 1א׳

וַיְהִי אַחַר הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיֹּאמֶר לְיוֹסֵף הִנֵּה אָבִיךָ חוֹלֶה וְגו': מַתְנִיתִין, אָמַר רִבִּי חִזְקִיָּה, לָא אֲתָא קְרָא לְאַשְׁמוּעִינָן דְּעָבַד, אֶלָּא אֲתָא קְרָא לְאַתְיָא מַה דְּיֶהוֵי בְּסוֹף גָּלוּתָא, כָּל אִלֵּין לְסוֹף מִנְיָינָא דְאִתְמְנֵי. צָבֵי לְמֵימַר דְּיֵיתֵי מְשִׁיחָא, וְיֵימָא לֵיהּ אָבוּךְ דְּבִשְׁמַיָיא בָּהִיל לִסְבַר אַפָּךְ, סָפִין לְקִצָּא דִמְשִׁיחָא. יְהֵא רַעֲוָא מִן אֱלֹהָא דִשְׁמַיָא, דְּיִסַּב בְּרֵיהּ דְּאַסְגִּיאוּ בְּגָלוּתָא, וּמִדְּאִתְנְשִׁיאוּ בְּהוּ, דְּנָשֵׁי יַתְהוֹן קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא בְּחוֹבֵיהוֹן בְּקוּשְׁטָא.

AND IT CAME TO PASS AFTER THESE THINGS, THAT ONE SAID TO JOSEPH: BEHOLD, YOUR FATHER IS SICK, ETC. Matnitin (the teaching). R. Hizkiah said: Scripture did not come to tell us what was done, but Scripture came to bring what will be at the end of the exile — all these for the end of the reckoning that has been reckoned. It means to say that the Messiah will come, and one will say to him: Your Father who is in heaven is in haste for the sight of your face; they wait for the end of the Messiah. May it be the will of the God of heaven that He take up His son, who have multiplied in exile; and since they have been forgotten among them, that the Holy One, blessed be He, forget them of their sins, in truth.

Segment 2ב׳

כַּד אֲתָא רִבִּי אַבָּא אָמַר, לָאו לִדְרָשָׁא קָא אֲתִינָא, חֲשׁוֹב רָזָא דְמִלְּתָא (בראשית ל׳:כ״ד) יוֹסֵף ה' לִי בֶּן אַחֵר, כִּדְפָרִישְׁנָא לְעֵיל, הַאי שְׁמֵיהּ קַדִּישָׁא בְּיוֹסֵף, יה"ו יֹאמַר, הָא אֲבוּךְ מָארֵי עַלְמָא, דְאָתֵי לְמֶעְבַּד טָבָא לִבְרֵיהּ, דְּיִפְקוּן מִן גָּלוּתָא דִּלְהוֹן. וְאִי אַתְּ לָא רָעֵי בְּקוּשְׁטָךְ, רִבּוּעָא ידו"ד אֶחָד יַעֲבֵד יָתָךְ, וְיָדְעֵי דְּתֵיתוּב מַטְרוֹנִיתָא לְאַתְרָא.

When R. Abba came he said: It is not for exposition that I have come. Consider the inner meaning of the matter: “the Lord add to me another son” (Gen. 30, 24), as we have explained above. This holy Name is in Joseph. Yod-He-Vau shall say: Behold, your father, the Master of the world, who comes to do good to His son, that they may go out from their exile. And if you are not willing in your truth, the square of the Tetragrammaton, One, shall make you so, and they shall know that the Matron returns to her place.

Segment 3ג׳

דַּאֲבָהֳתָנָא אִינוּן רְתִיכִין דִּלְעֵילָא, (בראשית י״ז:כ״ב) וַיַּעַל אֱלהִים מֵעַל אַבְרָהָם, אֲבָהָן שׁוֹקֵי עַלְמָא, (מיכה ז׳:כ׳) תִּתֵּן אֱמֶת לְיַעֲקֹב חֶסֶד לְאַבְרָהָם, תָּנָא דְיֵיתֵי מְשִׁיחָא.

For our fathers are the chariots above: “and God went up from Abraham” (Gen. 17, 22). The fathers are the legs of the world: “You will give truth to Jacob, mercy to Abraham” (Mic. 7, 20). It has been taught that the Messiah will come.
