The Zohar · Tetzaveh
Zohar, Tetzaveh 2
Section 2 of 18 in Tetzaveh — 30 segments
Segment 1
The first mystery: yod, the primal point, which stands upon nine supports that support it. And they stand toward the four quarters of the world, just as the end of thought, the last point, stands toward the four quarters of the world — save that this one is male and that one is female.
Segment 2
And this one stands without a body; and when it stands in a garment, clothed in it, it stands upon nine supports, in the mystery of the letter final mem, which has no circle. And although the letter samech is a circle and stands in a circle, yet in the mystery of the letters engraved within the points, which are translucent above, they are in a square, while what is below is in a circle.
Segment 3
This square stands in the measure of nine points, three and three to each side; and in the measure of the reckoning they are eight points, and they are nine. And these are they that stand, from the mystery of the lamp, in a square, as nine supports to the letter yod, a single point. They are nine; they are eight, in the mystery of the letter final mem in a square, in this manner: three and three to each side.
