Section 30 of 46 in Sh'lach — 11 segments
Segment 1
He said to him: O holy pious one, certainly, if all the sight of this world were not closed off from him, and all of it were not lost from him, he would have no sight and no portion in that world. This world is the reverse of that world in which we are. For at the time of the resurrection of the dead there will not be so much as a thread of hair of the work of this world, since all is lost first, (the dew shall bring it to nothing, and shall make it) in that dew (at first), and all the filth shall pass from him; and afterwards it shall be made like this leaven, and from it the body shall be made, a new creature. So it is here.
Segment 2
R. Simeon said to him: Certainly I know that you are clothed there in a garment of glory, of a pure and holy body. If only there were one in this same way in this world, a man who might be seen in that body, in the way that you stand in that world.
Segment 3
He said to him: This matter two young men who were clothed among us asked before the Head of the Academy, after they had borne distress for a sin that is not fitting to disclose; and they asked this before the Head of the Academy. And he said that it had been so in this world. From where do we know it? For it is written, “Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on royalty” (Esth. 5, 1): she clothed herself in that image of that world. “Royalty”: this is the holy spirit, for the kingdom of heaven breathes a spirit out of that spirit of the air of that world, and Esther clothed herself in it.
