Zohar, Sh'lach 28
Section 28 of 46 in Sh'lach — 9 segments
Segment 1
He said to him: If you know a new word — for I am bare of it. He said to him: Say it. He said: The voice that returns, I want to know of it. A man sends out a voice in a field, or in another place, and another voice returns, and it is not known. He said to him: O holy pious one, upon this word how many voices were roused, and how many fine points there were before the Head of the Academy! And when the Head of the Academy came down, he said: So the matter has been explained in the Academy of the firmament, and it is a precious mystery.
Segment 2
Observe: there are three voices that are never lost, apart from the voices of the Torah and of prayer, which go up on high and cleave the firmaments. But there are other voices that do not go up, and are not lost.
Segment 3
And these are the three. The voice of a woman in childbirth at the hour when she is upon the birthstool: that voice roves and goes through the air, from the ends of the world to the ends of the world. The voice of a man at the hour when his soul goes out of his body: that voice roves and goes through the air, from the ends of the world to the ends of the world. The voice of a serpent at the hour when it sheds its skin: that voice roves through the air, and goes from the ends of the world to the ends of the world.
