Segment 1א׳

וְאֹרַח רָזָא, א"ח הוּא ט' פִּרוּרִין, שָׁלֹשׁ לְכָל סְטָר, תְּלַת מִן ד', תְּרֵין עֲשַׂר. רְבִיעִית אִיהוּ שְׁלִימוּ, לְאַשְׁלְמָא בֵּיהּ עֶשֶׂר. וּלְאַשְׁלְמָא ד', דְּאִינּוּן יְדוָֹד. מַאי עֶשֶׂר. אִינּוּן: יוֹ"ד הֵ"א וָא"ו הֵ"א. קוֹצָּא דְּאָת ד' מִן אֶחָד, שִׁיעוּרָא כַּזַּיִת. י' מִן יְדוָֹד, שִׁיעוּרָא דִּילֵיהּ כַּבֵּיצָּה.

And by way of mystery: Aleph-Heth is nine crumbs — three to each side; three of four, twelve. The fourth is the completion, to complete ten with it, and to complete the four, which are the Tetragrammaton. What is ten? They are Yod-Vau-Daleth, He-Aleph, Vau-Aleph-Vau, He-Aleph. The tip of the letter Daleth of echad: its measure is the size of an olive. The Yod of the Tetragrammaton: its measure is the size of an egg.

Segment 2ב׳

אִיהִי ד', שְׁלִימוּ דְּמֶרְכַּבְתָּא דְּאָדָם, וּשְׁלִימוּ דְּאַרְבַּע אַנְפִּין דְּאָדָם. וּבְגִין דָּא, (במדבר ו׳:כ״ה) יִשָׂא יְדוָֹד פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ. וְאוֹקְמוּהָ מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין, וְהָכְתִיב (דברים י׳:י״ז) אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִשָּׂא פָנִים. אֶלָּא אָמַר הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וְלֹא אָמַרְתִּי לָהֶם (דברים י״א:ט״ו) וְאָכַלְתָּ וְשבַעְתָּ, וְהֵם דִּקְדְּקוּ עֲלֵיהֶם, עַד כַּזַּיִת אוֹ עַד כַּבֵּיצָּה, וְאֵיךְ לֹא אֶשָּׂא לָהֶם פָּנִים. וְרַבָּנָן דְּמַתְנִיתִין וַאֲמוֹרָאִין, כָּל תַּלְמוּדָא דִּלְהוֹן, עַל רָזִין דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא סִדְּרוּ לֵיהּ.

She is Daleth, the completion of the chariot of man, and the completion of the four faces of man. And therefore, “The Lord lift up His countenance upon you” (Num. 6, 25). And the sages of the Mishnah have explained: But is it not written, “who does not lift up countenance” (Deut. 10, 17)? Rather, the Holy One, blessed be He, said: Did I not say to them, “And you shall eat and be satisfied” (Deut. 11, 15)? And they were strict with themselves, to the size of an olive or to the size of an egg; and how shall I not lift up My countenance to them? And the sages of the Mishnah and the Amoraim — all their Talmud they arranged upon the mysteries of the Torah.

קָם רַעְיָא מְהֵימָנָא, וְסָלִיק יְדוֹי קַמֵּי קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, וְאָמַר הָכִי, קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא יְהֵא רַעֲוָא דִּילָךְ, לְמֵיהַב לוֹן מְזוֹנָא שְׁלֵימָתָא, לְתַקְּנָא לְגַבָּךְ, וּלְגַבֵּי מַטְרוֹנִיתָא עִלָּאָה עָלְמָא דְּאָתֵי, דְּאִתְּמַר עָלָהּ, (תהילים כ״ב:כ״ט) כִּי לַיְיָ הַמְּלוּכָה וּמוֹשֵׁל בַּגּוֹיִם. וּלְגַבֵּי מַטְרוֹנִיתָא תִּנְיָינָא, דְּאִתְּמַר בָּהּ זִמְנָא תִּנְיָינָא, (עובדיה א׳:כ״א) וְהָיְתָה לַיְיָ הַמְּלוּכָה. לְתַקְּנָא פָּתוֹרָא שְׁלֵימָתָא, מִכָל עִדּוּנִין, וּמִכָּל מַאֲכָלִין.

The Faithful Shepherd rose, and lifted up his hands before the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Shekinah, and spoke thus: Holy One, blessed be He, may it be Your will to give them complete food, to be prepared toward You, and toward the supernal Matrona, the world to come, of whom it is said, “For the kingdom is the Lord's, and He is the ruler over the nations” (Ps. 22, 29); and toward the second Matrona, of whom it is said a second time, “And the kingdom shall be the Lord's” (Obad. 1, 21): to set a complete table, of all delicacies and of all foods.

וַאֲנָא מְזַמֵּן עִמָךְ, לְכָל מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין, וּלְמָארֵי מִקְרָא, וּלְמָארֵי תַּלְמוּד, וְכָּל שֶׁכֵּן לְמָארֵי סִתְרֵי תּוֹרָה דִּילָךְ, כַּלָּה דִּילָךְ, מַטְרוֹנִיתָא קַדִישָׁא דִּילָךְ, עִלָּאָה וְתַתָּאָה, וְכֹלָּא בִּרְשׁוּת דְּעִלַּת כָּל עִלָּאִין, אֲדוֹן כָּל הַאֲדוֹנִים, מֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הַמְּלָכִים דְּעֵילָּא וְתַתָּא, דְּאִיהוּ יָחִיד בְּלָא תִּנְיָינָא, וְלֵית אָת וּנְקוּדָה דְּמִשְׁתַּתֵּף בַּהֲדֵיהּ, וְלָא שִׁנּוּי גַּוְונִין דְּאֶינָשָׁא. דְּאִיהוּ מָארֵי כָּל מַפְתְחָאן, דְּרָזִין דְּהַוָויות, וּשְׁמָהָן וְכִנּוּיִין, וְכָל רָזִין גְּנִיזִין דְּחָכְמְתָא, דְּתִפְתַּח לוֹן כֻּלְּהוּ לִיקָרָא דִּילָךְ, עִלַּת עַל כָּל עִלּוֹת. אֲנָא מִתְחַנֵּן קֳדָמָךְ, דְּתִפְתַּח לוֹן לִיקָרָא דִּילָךְ, דִּיְקָרָא דִּילָךְ אִיהוּ מֵאָבִי וְאִמִּי דִּשְׁמַיָּא, וְאָב דְּכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאֵם דִּלְהוֹן, דְּאִתְּמַר בָּהּ (משלי א׳:ח׳-ט׳) וְאַל תִּטוֹשׁ תּוֹרַת אִמֶּךָ, וְעִמָּךְ לֵית שׁוּתָּפוּ דְּאֵם בְּעָלְמָא.

And I invite with You all the sages of the Mishnah, and the masters of Scripture, and the masters of the Talmud, and how much more so the masters of the secrets of Your Torah — Your bride, Your holy Matrona, upper and lower — and all by leave of the Cause of all the supernal ones, Lord of all lords, King over all kings above and below, who is One without a second, and there is no letter or point that shares with Him, nor change of colours as with man; who is Master of all the keys of the mysteries of the modes of being, and of the names and appellations, and of all the hidden mysteries of wisdom — that You may open them all for Your honour, Cause above all causes. I entreat before You that You open them for Your honour; for Your honour is from my Father and my Mother in heaven, and the Father of all Israel, and their Mother, of whom it is said, “and do not forsake the law of your mother” (Prov. 1, 8-9); and with You there is no partnership of a mother in the world.

קָם זִמְנָא תִּנְיָינָא, וְאָמַר מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין, נִשְׁמָתִין וְרוּחִין וְנַפְשִׁין דִּלְכוֹן, אַתְעֲרוּ כְּעַן כּוּלְהוּ, וְאַעְבָּרוּ שֵׁינָתָא מִנְּכוֹן, דְּאִיהִי וַדַּאי מִשְׁנָה, אֹרַח פְּשָׁט דְּהַאי עָלְמָא. דַּאֲנָא לָא אַתְעַרְנָא בָּכוּ, אֶלָּא בְּרָזִין עִלָּאִין דְּעָלְמָא דְּאָתֵי, דְּאַתּוּן בְּהוֹן (תהילים קכ״א:ד׳) הִנֵּה לֹא יָנוּם וְלֹא יִישָׁן.

He rose a second time and said: Sages of the Mishnah, your neshamot and ruchot and nefashot — awake now, all of them, and put away from you sleep (sheinta), which is surely mishnah, the way of the plain sense of this world. For I do not rouse you except with the supernal mysteries of the world to come, in which you are, “Behold, he shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Ps. 121, 4).
