Section 85 of 129 in Pinchas — 10 segments
Segment 1
At that time an additional ruach (spirit) will be awakened upon Israel, as it is written, “I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh” (Joel 3, 1); and Israel will have rest from the nations of the world: “and had rest from their enemies” (Esther 9, 16). As with the Sabbath, when an additional nefesh (vital soul) is added to a man on the Sabbath, and they have rest in it: if with the additional nefesh, which is female, they have rest, how much more so with the ruach, which is male.
Segment 2
And, Tannaim and Amoraim: the additional nefesh on the Sabbath is one for all Israel together; but for each man it is according to his deeds. And I have learnt from the kal va-chomer of repentance that all Israel together, whenever they all return, are accepted, as it is written, “as the Lord our God is whenever we call upon Him” (Deut. 4, 7): for the name of the Tetragrammaton is crowned over them with its crown, which is the supernal keter. And this is the additional neshamah of all Israel, on the Sabbath and festivals. And therefore they instituted, on every day, to seal with the name of the Tetragrammaton, which is the seal of all the blessings of the prayers; and they do not say the Musaf without Keter. And on the Sabbath they instituted to say in the Musaf, “A crown they will give to You, O Lord our God.”
Segment 3
But to each one of Israel the additional nefesh comes down according to his grade. If he is pious, they give him an additional nefesh from the attribute of chesed, according to his grade. If he is mighty, fearing sin, they give him an additional nefesh from the attribute of gevurah. And if he is a perfect man, they give him an additional nefesh from the attribute of truth. And this additional nefesh is malchut, which is comprised of ten sefirot, and it is according to a man's measure: if a prince in Israel, or a sage, or one who understands in wisdom, or in the Torah — of which it is said, “To understand a proverb and a figure” (Prov. 1, 6) — or in the Prophets, or in the Writings, so they give him an additional nefesh, which is called keter malchut.
