Section 2 of 129 in Pinchas — 5 segments
Segment 1
R. Simeon said: This verse has a mystery of wisdom in it. “You who dwell in the gardens” — this is the Community of Israel, who is in exile with Israel and goes with them in their distress. “The companions hearken to your voice” — the supernal camps; all of them listen to your voice, to the voice of your praise in exile. “Cause me to hear it” — as you say, “Let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice” (S. S. 2, 14). “Cause me to hear it”: the voice of those companions who study the Torah; for there is no praise before Me like that of those who study the Torah.
Segment 2
Said R. Simeon: As it were, all those who merit to study the Torah, and from the time the night is divided, and who come with the Matrona when the day grows light to receive the face of the King, grow strong and take possession in the Shekinah. And not only this, but a thread of grace rests upon him, as we have explained.
Segment 3
Observe: whoever merits to be strengthened in the Shekinah, let him guard himself from those things that are held against her. Such as whom? Such as those who do not deal falsely with the holy sign, as with the daughter of a strange god. And whoever guards himself — the Community of Israel, as it were, holds to him and guards him, and she greets him first with peace. And how much more so if he merits and is zealous for this.
