Segment 1
The third palace. This palace is a palace that is gloomy and dark, and there is no light in it at all; and it is gloomier than the former ones. And this is the one that is called Dumah, corresponding to the name that is called Enemy. In this palace there stand four doors: one stands to this side, and one to that side, and so to the four sides.
Segment 2
One chieftain stands at this first door, and this chieftain stands in that strength of the anger of the world. When judgement rests upon the world, this chieftain who dwells at this door takes weapons and lays them at those gates of the synagogue (of men); and this one is called Sakaportaya, and this is the stumbling of the world. And therefore it is written, “The way of the wicked is as darkness; they know not at what they stumble” (Prov. 4, 19). (This chieftain stands at the parting of the ways, to look.) At that time when he rules, and judgement rests upon the world, he stands to look upon one who walks alone in the market; and if he meets him, he can harm him, and break his fortune.
Segment 3
The second door. In it stands another chieftain, and this one stands to take up the writs of judgement; and this is Sangadiel. And beneath his hand are how many emissaries of judgement that rule, that stand to receive those writs of judgement; and this one stands at this door.
