Section 54 of 63 in Pekudei — 10 segments

Segment 1

The first palace. The beginning of the side of the evil inclination. This first palace is called Pit, empty of all. One who comes to enter into it — there is none that takes hold of him; they all thrust him down to fall, so that he shall not rise. There is no support in it for good.

Segment 2

In this palace stands one chieftain, and Dumah is his name. And this one stands above and below. This one takes hold of the soul when it is thrust away from the holy palace by the hand of that chieftain Tahariel; and this one stands beside that gate of that holy side. And therefore this Dumah stands to take hold of the soul, and many emissaries of judgement are with him.

Segment 3

And beneath this chieftain stands another chieftain, who has a thousand and myriads beneath him. And this chieftain is called Pittut. This is the one that stands to entice men. And this is the one that dwells beside a man and leads him astray, to look and to gaze upon what is not fitting, in many harlotries and in many adulteries. And all those that are with him — they all stand before him and go before him, and compel him to turn his eyes aside, to look upon what is not fitting.
