Section 6 of 23 in Nasso — 10 segments
Segment 1
“And they that are wise shall understand” (Dan. 12, 10) — from the side of binah, which is the tree of life. Concerning them it is said, “And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament” (Dan. 12, 3) — through this composition of yours, which is the Book of the Zohar, from the brightness of the supernal Mother, repentance. For these no trial is needed. And because Israel are destined to taste from the tree of life, which is this Book of the Zohar, they will go out with it from exile in mercy. And there shall be fulfilled in them, “The Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with Him” (Deut. 32, 12).
Segment 2
And the tree of good and evil, which is forbidden and permitted, defilement and purity, will not rule over Israel any longer; for our sustenance will not be except from the side of the tree of life, where there is no difficulty from the side of evil, and no dispute from the spirit of defilement, as it is written, “and I will cause the unclean spirit to pass out of the land” (Zech. 13, 2).
Segment 3
That the students of the Torah shall not be sustained by the unlearned, but from the side of good — who eat what is pure, fit and permitted — and not from the mixed multitude, who eat what is defiled, unfit and forbidden; for they are defiled, and they defile themselves with a menstruant, a bondmaid, a gentile woman, a harlot. Because they are the sons of Lilith, who is herself menstruant, bondmaid, gentile woman, harlot, and they return to their roots. And concerning them it is said, “For out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a basilisk” (Isa. 14, 29).
