Section 8 of 21 in Kedoshim — 6 segments

Segment 1

In the Sitrei Torah (the mysteries of the Torah): Adam had nothing of this world. One righteous man performed the act of union with his female, and from that union one body was made, whose radiance was greater than all those angels who are messengers above. And when that body was created, the supernal King set in that righteous one twenty-two letters, and joined with them, and he came forth into the world.

Segment 2

When he came forth, the sun and the moon saw him and their light was closed up, for the ball of his heel darkened their light. What is the reason? Because he came forth from the work of the supernal sun and moon. Once he sinned, he was darkened and made himself small, and needed another body, in skin and in flesh, as it is written, “And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skin, and clothed them” (Gen. 3, 21). Such a union as that righteous one performed with his female was not found before that time, nor after it, for as yet it had not gone out to the refining craftsman.

Segment 3

Until Enoch came, and the Holy One, blessed be He, took him from the earth, and refined the dross and the alloy from the silver; and so with all those righteous men who are in the earth. Afterwards that place was set in order, and spirits and souls were made through their unions, and a body from below in the earth. And therefore, by a partnership of above and below, a man comes into the world, and he must fear those partners and honour them, as has been said. (End of Ra'aya Meheimna)
