Segment 1א׳

בְּגוּלְגַלְתָּא דְּרֵישָׁא, תַּלְיָין כָּל אִינּוּן רִבְּוָון וְאַלְפִין (קוצי) מִקוֹצֵי דְּשַׂעְרִין, דְּאִינּוּן אוּכָמִין. וּמִסְתַּבְּכִין דָּא בְּדָא, אֲחִידָן דָּא בְּדָא, דַּאֲחִידָן בִּנְהִירוּ עִלָּאָה דִּמְעַטֵר (דמתעטר) בְּרֵישֵׁיהּ מֵאַבָּא, וּמִמּוֹחָא דְּאִתְנְהִיר מֵאַבָּא. לְבָתַר נָפְקִין נִימִין עַל נִימִין, מִנְּהִירוּ דְּמִתְעַטָּר בְּרֵישֵׁיהּ מֵאִימָּא, וּמִשְׁאַר מוֹחֵי. וְכֻלְּהוּ אֲחִידָן, וּמִסְתַּבְּכֵי בְּאִינּוּן שַׂעְרֵי דַּאֲחִידָן מֵאַבָּא, בְּגִין דְּאִינּוּן מִתְעָרְבִין דָּא בְּדָא, וּמִסְתַּבְּכִין דָּא בְּדָא.

On the skull of the head hang all those myriads and thousands of locks of hair, which are black, and tangled one with another, held one with another; which are held in the supernal light that crowns (a variant reads: that is crowned) His head from Father, and from the brain that is illumined from Father. Afterwards there go forth strand upon strand from the light that is crowned upon His head from Mother, and from the rest of the brains. And all of them are held and tangled in those hairs that are held from Father, because they are intermingled one with another and tangled one with another.

Segment 2ב׳

וְכֻלְּהוּ מוֹחֵי אֲחִידָן בְּגוּלְגּוּלְתָא, בְּמוֹחָא עִלָּאָה. וְכֻלְּהוּ מְשִׁיכָן (דאתמשכן) אִתְמַשְּׁכָן מִתְּלַת חֲלָלֵי דְּמוֹחָא, (אחידן במוחי) מִתְעָרְבָן דָּא בְּדָא, בְּדַכְיָא בִּמְסָאֲבָא. בְּכָל אִינּוּן טַעֲמִין וְרָזִין, סְתִימִין וּמִתְגַּלְיָין. וּבְגִין כָּךְ כֻּלְּהוּ מוֹחֵי רְמִיזֵי (כך נמצא בס"י) בְּאָנֹכִי יְיָ' אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְכוּ', כְּמָה דִּנְהוֹרִין בְּעִטְרָא דְּרֵישָׁא, וְעָאלִין בַּחֲלָלֵי דְּגוּלְגַּלְתָּא.

And all the brains are held in the skull, in the supernal brain. And all of them are drawn (a variant reads: that are drawn) — drawn from the three hollows of the brain (a variant adds: held in the brains) — intermingled one with another, in the clean, in the unclean, in all those reasons and mysteries, hidden and revealed. And therefore all the brains are hinted (so it is found in a variant text) in “I am the Lord your God,” etc., like the lights in the crown of the head, which enter into the hollows of the skull.

Segment 3ג׳

כָּל אִינּוּן קוֹצִין אוּכָמִין, חַפְיָין וְתַלְיָין לְסִטְרָא דְּאוּדְנִין. וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא, דְבְּגִין כָּךְ כְּתִיב, (מלכים ב י״ט:ט״ז) הַטֵּה יְיָ' אָזְנְךָ וּשֲׁמָע. מִכָּאן אוֹקִימְנָא, מַאן דְּבָעֵי דְּיַרְכִּין מַלְכָּא אוּדְנֵיהּ לָקֳבְלֵיהּ, יְסַלְסֵל בְּרֵישֵׁיהּ דְּמַלְכָּא, וְיִפְנֶה שַׂעְרֵי מֵעַל אוּדְנוֹי, וְיִּשְׁמַע לֵיהּ מַלְכָּא בְּכָל מַה דְּבָעֵי.

All those black locks cover and hang down to the side of the ears. And we have explained that therefore it is written, “Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear” (II Kings 19, 16). From here we have explained: whoever wishes the King to incline His ear toward him, let him curl the hair of the King's head, and turn the hairs away from His ears, and the King will hear him in all that he wishes.
