Segment 1א׳

עַתִּיקָא דְּכָל עַתִּיקִין, סְתִימָא דְּכָל סְתִימִין, אִתְתְּקַן וְלָא אִתְתְּקַן. אִתְתְּקַן, בְּגִין לְקַיְּימָא כֹּלָּא. וְלָא אִתְתְּקַן, בְּגִין דְּלָא שְׁכִיחַ.

The Ancient of all ancients, the Hidden of all hidden, is set in order and not set in order. Set in order, so as to sustain all; and not set in order, because He is not found.

Segment 2ב׳

כַּד אִתְתְּקַן, אַפִּיק ט' נְהוֹרִין, דְּלַהֲטִין מִנֵּיהּ, מִתִּקּוּנוֹי. וְאִינּוּן נְהוֹרִין מִנֵּיהּ, מִתְנַהֲרִין וּמִתְלַהֲטִין, וְאָזְלִין וּמִתְפַּשְׁטִין לְכָל עִיבָר. כְּבוּצִינָא דְּאִתְפַּשְּׁטִין (דמתפשטין) מִנֵּיהּ נְהוֹרִין לְכָל עִיבָר. וְאִינּוּן נְהוֹרִין דְּמִתְפַּשְּׁטִין, כַּד יִקְרְבוּן לְמִנְדַּע לוֹן, לָא שְׁכִיחַ אֶלָּא בּוּצִינָא בִּלְחוֹדוֹי. כַּךְ הוּא עַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא, (הוא) בּוּצִינָא עִלָּאָה, סְתִימָא דְּכָל סְתִימִין. וְלָא שְׁכִיחַ בַּר אִינּוּן נְהוֹרִין דְּמִתְפָּשְּׁטָן, דְּמִתְגַּלְּיָין, וּטְמִירָן. וְאִינּוּן אִקְרוּן שְׁמָא קַדִּישָׁא. וּבְגִין כָּךְ כֹּלָּא חַד.

When He is set in order, He brings forth nine lights, which blaze from Him, from His adornments. And those lights from Him shine and blaze, and go and spread to every direction, like a lamp from which lights spread to every direction. And those lights that spread — when they draw near to know them, nothing is found but the lamp alone. So is the Holy Ancient One (a variant adds: He is) the supernal lamp, the Hidden of all hidden; and nothing is found but those lights that spread, which are revealed and hidden. And they are called the Holy Name; and therefore all is one.

Segment 3ג׳

וּמַה דְּאַמְרֵי חַבְרָנָא בְּסִפְרֵי קַדְמָאֵי, דְּאִינּוּן דַּרְגִּין דְּאִתְבְּרִיאוּ, וְעַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא אִתְגְּלֵי בְּהוּ, בְּכָל חַד וְחַד. מִשּׁוּם דְּאִינּוּן תִּקּוּנִין דְּעַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא. לָאו הַשְׁתָּא עִידָנָא לְהָנֵי מִלִּין דְּהָא אֲמֵינָא לוֹן בְּאִדָּרָא קַדִּישָׁא. וַחֲמֵינָא מַה דְּלָא יְדַעְנָא הָכִי, וְעַד הַשְׁתָּא אַסְתִּים בְּלִבָּאִי מִלָּה. וְהַשְּׁתָּא אֲנָא בִּלְחוֹדָאי אַסְהִידְנָא קַמֵּי מַלְכָּא קַדִּישָׁא, וְכָל הָנֵי זַכָּאֵי קְשׁוֹט דְּאָתוּ לְמִשְׁמַע מִלִּין אִלֵּין.

And as for what our Companions say in the books of the ancients — that these are grades that were created, and the Holy Ancient One is revealed in them, in each and every one, because they are adornments of the Holy Ancient One — now is not the time for these words, for I have spoken them at the Holy Assembly. And I have seen what I did not know thus, and until now the matter has been closed up in my heart. And now I alone testify before the Holy King, and all these truly righteous who have come to hear these words.
